Our Leaders
Elder Michael Blue, Sr. - Pastor
is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. A graduate of Meade Sr. High School, Fort Meade, Maryland and a graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia with a Bachelors degree in Multi-Disciplinary Studies and Business Management. Elder Blue retired from the U.S. Army after having served 22 years and is a Gulf War and Iraqi Freedom veteran. He has a heart for soldiers and their families, as well as for retired Veterans.
He has come up through the ranks in the church as well; He received Christ as a young man, it was while serving on the Usher Board at Chapel #2 in Baumholder, Germany under Chaplain Wilbur Harrison that God saved Him. In February 1992 Elder Blue attended Center of Faith Church, also in Baumholder Germany and became members under the leadership of Pastor Dennis Mitchell. Being transferred to Fort Lewis Washington; Elder Blue and his family joined New Jerusalem Church, under the great leadership of Bishop T.L. Westbrook; where he served faithfully as an adjutant, deacon, choir member and a member of the Homeless Feeding Program Team. In 1995 Elder Blue and his family returned to Germany and joined House of Prayer Church, where he served faithfully as a local, district and jurisdictional adjutant, local finance committee chairman, Pastors aide, and whereever help was needed. Accepting the call to minister in 1996, Elder Blue was licensed as a minister in 1998 by Pastor Percy Wilson, Jr. also under the leadership of Bishop Carlis L. Moody.
Over the years Elder Blue has served in many offices of the church and served under other great Leaders as such Superintendent Robert L. Smith, Jr. of New Hope Church, Columbus, Georgia where he served on the finance committee, Evangelism Dept president, mission department member and the member of the Ways and Means Committee, in 2000 he acknowledge the call to his Pastor; Elder Blue continued to serve and receive the teaching need to shepherd God’s people.
In 2001 Pastor Blue and his family moved to Fort Jackson, SC, they joined Family Worship Center, He was ordained as an Elder by Bishop Johnie J. Johnson, South Carolina Jurisdiction in July 2002. Elder Blue was transferred to Fort Riley, Kansas in July 2004 where he served under Pastor James Boyer in Manhattan, Kansas, Elder Blue retired from the military in April 2006 returning to Columbia, South Carolina and later joined Perfecting Faith Ministries in Blythewood, SC, under the North Carolina Second Jurisdiction. Elder Blue was given approval and sent out in November 2007 by his Pastor to start his Pastoralship.
The inception of Spirit of Life Christian Ministries manifested in November 2007, after much prayer and travailing Pastor Blue was lead to request approval to serve in the NC 2nd Jurisdiction, in March 2009 the Lord lead Pastor Blue to request to be under the leadership of Superintendent Frankie L. Davis, Sr. of the Charlotte District, in June 2009 Elder Blue was accepted and appointed Pastor of Spirit of Life Christian Ministries, by Bishop C. Ellis Anderson, Sr.. Pastor Blue serves faithfully in the Charlotte District as the District Youth President.
Elder Blue is happily married to the lovely spirit-filled Co-Pastor Connie Scott-Blue; together they have four adult children, Michael Jr. Braelon, Monique, and Brandon.
